DGP to register FIR against Wakf Board chief
Bhopal: The State Government on Friday directed the Director General of Police (DGP) to register an FIR against the former Wakf Board Chairman and senior Congress leader Gufran-e-Azam. Additional Secretary of Minorities and Backward Classes Rajesh Kumar Kaul, in a letter to the DGP, said that on May 31, 2009 in Board’s meeting at Indore discussed agenda, but 22 points were kept aloof. The State Assembly committee had found this decision as objectionable and had recommended action against chairman and other office-bearers.
4584 leprosy patients treated
Bhopal: During last year, survey for leprosy eradication and treatment has been undertaken in every district of the State. During the survey 5360 leprosy patients were found, of which 4584 have been treated. Awareness rallies were taken out on death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi in different districts today. Programmes for leprosy eradication were held in tandem with NGOs. At Ujjain, 150 students of Nursing College took out a rally from Madhav Nagar Hospital to Tower Chowk. Health officers and workers also participated in the rally. Dr. Rita Agrawal informed about eradication of leprosy. Rs. 9 crore has been sanctioned in the state this year under leprosy Eradication Programme. The leprosy patients found in the survey in the state from November 20 to December 20 are being treated through MDT method. It is noteworthy that the Astha Utsav will be held to honour Gram Panchayats where no leprosy patient has been found during last 5 years.
Two-minute silence observed
Bhopal: A two-minute silence was observed to pay tributes to martyrs on Shaheed Diwas marking death anniversary of Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi. Additional Chief Secretary School Education and New and Renewable Energy SR Mohanthy, Principal Secretary Culture, Religious Endowments and Commercial Taxes Manoj Shrivastava and other senior officers and employees were present on the occasion.
British Museum director visits Sanghralaya
Bhopal: The director of British Museum, london Neil MacGregor visited Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sanghralaya. The British Museum is the centre for historical and cultural heritage around the world and representative of the museums around the world and Neil MacGregor is known for development of museums at global level and as the leader of Elevation of museums movement. In his short visit MacGregor visited the traditional house ‘Kuchenemi’ of Chakhesang Naga Tribe, witnessed the traditional process of iron smelting by the Agaria tribe of Madhya Pradesh and saw the newly inaugurated Buddhist prayer wheel ‘Mane’ and traditional kitchen of ladakh ‘Chansa’. He was overwhelmed to see the Indian cultural heritage through exhibitions of Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya a fresh difference from traditional museums around the world. In the evening, from Wales, United Kingdom David Ambrose and Angharad Wynne visited Manav Sanghralaya. They were guided through the visit by Director, IGRMS, Prof Sarit Kumar Choudhuri, Assistant Keeper SK Pandey and PRO Ashok Sharma.
Prize distribution ceremony at BHEl held
Bhopal: A conference on official language and prize distribution ceremony was organised on Friday at BHEl Cultural Hall. Snehlata Kumar, Secretary, Ms.Poonam Juneja, Jt. Secretary, department of Official language, Vishwas Bhave, GM, BHEl, Bhopal and other officials graced the inaugural session of the Conference wherein participants from Western and Central Zone represented their offices. Central Govt Offices, PSUs and banks were felicitated for their contribution towards promotion of Rajbhasha, Hindi. Kumar applauded the role of Hindi in streamlining the country whereas Juneja asked the participants to implement Rajbhasha Hindi in its true spirit. On this occasion, BHEl, Bhopal was also felicitated with shield for promotion and implementation of Hindi.
SDM inspects Govt sites
Mhow: SDM Pithampur Neeraj Singh inspected the land near the temple and also the Government land of Sagour. He demanded the plan of development from the Nagar Palika Pithampur CEO Madhu Saxena. He ordered to remove the encraoachment at kuti square and to make the plan of development of government land. He also reached at Manokamneshwar temple and ordered to remove the encroachment from the site of fun fair ground. SDM Neeraj Singh told that we will remove the encroachment from the government land and develop this area as hawker zone. The fair site should be free from encroachment and should be neat and clean. During the inspection of Dusshera ground SDM Singh stopped three trucks carrying sand and crushed stone and asked about the royalty papers. The truck drivers’ couldn’t produce the royalty papers so he made the challan of these trucks and handed over the dumpers to the police.
lord Shiva worshipped with milk
Mhow: lord Shiva was worshipped with milk and water at Manokamneshwar temple Shanti Nagar and 51 copies of Shiv Chalisa and Sweets were distributed to the devotees. The chief guest of the program was retired joint collector J G Solanki. The member of the organizing committee Deepak Dube and other members were present.
