15 days on, Tarbha BYJD leader yet to arrest

Thursday, 31 December 2015 | PNS | SONEPUR

Even though 15 days have passed, the Tarbha police are yet to take any action against land grab accused Tapan Agrawal, a BJD youth wing leader, and two of his associates.

Giridharilal Agrawal, a business man of Tarbha in Subarnapur district, had lodged a complaint on December 14 last that Tapan and two of his associates, Harekrushna Pradhan and Istak Mohammad had forcibly grabbed his land.

As per sources, Tapan has applied for his anticipatory bail in Orissa High Court and has been underground to evade arrest.   As Tapan (30) is close to the local MlA and Assembly Speaker Niranjan Pujari and Zilla Parisad President Himanshu Shekhar Biswal, it is alleged that police are not daring to nab him.
