Twelve meritorious students of Baleswar district will leave for Delhi on August 10 to visit the Parliament under the sponsorship of local MP RK Jena.
The children, who had scored significant results in the Class-X examination last year, would go to Delhi along with their parents and a teacher from their respective schools. The MP said
arrangements have been for the visit and stay of each student’s parents and the teachers during the visits from August 10 to 14.
“We had announced a competition, wherein the students performing the best in their Class-X examinations, would get the opportunity to travel Delhi and visit the Parliament as a reward,” the MP said, adding that to encourage the students for
the contest, personal letters were sent to 22,950 students in 387 schools.
The trip would help promote a healthy and robust education system in Baleswar, Jena hoped.
