Fahad Ali who plays Nikhil Tiwari in Muh Boli Shaddi on Sony Entertainment TV speaks with SHAlINI SAKSENA about his role & why one should watch this serial
Did you always want to actIJ
Yes, I always wanted to act. Otherwise why will a boy from Dehra Dun go all the way to MumbaiIJ I knew from the very beginning what I wanted to do and I worked towards it. When I was old enough, I came to Mumbai and the rest is history.
Usually people have to struggle a lot before you got your first break. Did you have to struggle as wellIJ
I have heard of people who spend years and not get a break. But I don’t see this as a struggle. Even if one wants to be a doctor, the person has to spend years studying before he can become one. So is the case when one wants to be an actor. One has to see this as a learning period before you actually make a place for yourself in the industry.
How did you bag the role for Muh Boli ShaadiIJ
It was very simple. There was no high drama, I got a call from the production house and I was selected to play the lead protagonist. People had seen my work in a few serials that I had worked in before. Obviously, they liked my work. It feels nice to know that my work is being appreciated.
Tell us about the show...
It is set in the back drop of Bareli. Nikhil, that is the character that I play, doesn’t want to be a pandit like his father. He wants to be a Chartered Accountant. He has certain dreams and aspirations. But he is not an impulsive kind of a person. He measures everything, plans for things and then only makes a decision.
For this, he is sketching all the time — the path that he needs to take. Then a family moves next door and he falls in love with the neighbour’s daughter. From there on his life takes a U-turn. That is what the serial is all about.
Why the title Muh Boli ShaadiIJ
One needs to watch the show to know why that title. If I tell you everything now, no one will see it. So please watch it.
The reason why one must watch itIJ
There are a couple of things that makes this show really nice and sweet. First, it is targeted towards the youngsters so in that sense it is very hep. Second, it is a very fresh story and the storyline is something that is not seen on television yet.
