Khatron Ke Khiladi-Darr ka Blockbuster is back with another nail-biting season and an interesting line-up of contestants. With the Season 7 being shot in Argentina, it is sure to up the ante as compared to its previous seasons. PRAKRITI ROY spoke to a few contestants who talk about why they said yes and their fear factor
MAHHI VIJ, 32 Actor
I had just decided to get back to work when Khatron Ke Khiladi 7 (KKK) came my way. It is a very reputed show and I wanted to do a good show. As my comeback show, I did not want to do just anything random. I am sure it will be even more fun for me, competing against Jay.
Strength: My strength will probably be my willpower. I know that in a show like this, a great deal of focus is required.
Weakness: I have loads of weaknesses. But I will realise which of them can be a drawback for me only once I encounter the stunts.
Fear factor: My biggest fear is that I can’t stand the sight of blood.
SANA SAEED, 27 Actor
It’s a fun show and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I know I will get the chance to do crazy and adventurous things on the show. This is something very different and out of my comfort zone.
Strength: I think the main thing is that you have to be mentally strong. And right now I am just looking forward to performing all the tasks set before me.
Weakness: For now, I would like to think positively and tackle my weakness, if any, as the show progresses.
Fear factor: I don’t know my biggest fear but creepy crawlies kind of freak me out.
TINA DATTA, 28 Actor
I am here to overcome my fears. I want to come out of my daily-soap avatar and this is the best place to do that.
Strength: I don’t know what my strength is but I know that this show requires more of mental strength rather than physical abilities.
Weakness: I haven’t done something like this before. So let’s see what happens.
Fear factor: I am scared of heights.
FAISAl KHAN, 18 Dancer, actor
This is just like doing any other show for me. Although my parents discouraged me, I finally managed to convince them as I will get the opportunity to do something other than dancing and acting.
Strength: My strength is my confidence and I would probably be able to do some stunts better because I do stunts even for dancing. Timing is most important in dancing as well as stunts.
Weakness: I don’t want to attribute any of my qualities as a weakness.
Fear factor: I just wish I don’t get nervous. There is nothing in particular that I am afraid of.
JAY BHANUSHAlI, 30 Actor, anchor
I am actually quite an adventurous person. Even for my yearly holidays with Mahhi, I plan a destination which has adventure sports. Of course, the fact that Mahhi will be there has influenced my decision because it is great to have family around. I have a couple of projects on hold right now, including a film, which I will pursue only after KKK 7.
Strength: It is too early to say what my strength would be as in these kinds of stunts, a lot of luck is also in play.
Weakness: I am comfortable with almost anything. The only weakness could be that I am not a pro at swimming.
Fear factor: I will have to find out when I am on ground zero.
RAGHAV JUYAl, 24 Dancer, anchor
I think the very concept of performing stunts that have been prepared exclusively for us is exciting to me. I belong to Uttarakhand, so I have been engaging in adventurous activities for many years now.
Strength: My flexibility, stamina and swiftness, that I get from my dancing, will be a huge advantage for me. My centre is strong and I can do physical tasks well.
Weakness: Each one has a weakness, but to give one’s away so early in the show will work against me.
Fear factor: I don’t really know what I am afraid of as I don’t mind anything — fire, water, animals. Maybe if a girl is opposite me then I could get afraid!
YUVRAJ WAlMIKI, 25 Hockey player
My first love is hockey and I am here to find the lost glory that hockey deserves and to promote my sport as well as myself. When sports and entertainment come together, I feel it gets very well-balanced out. My personal target is to reach the top 4 at least. A show like this is a totally different ballgame. But I would definitely consider other reality shows after KKK 7.
Strength: My strength would be my stamina. And I will just give my 100 per cent.
Weakness: I don’t know my weakness but maybe I will discover in a couple of weeks.
Fear factor: I don’t want my opponents to know it before hand.
