A drunken truck driver mowed down three people, including a minor and a woman, and left three other critically injured before ramming the truck into a house in a Greater Noida village on Friday evening.
Following the incident, angry villagers set ablaze SHO’s vehicle and two bikes and pelted stones on police when they reached the spot an hour late. Also, the villagers blocked roads. Police said the deceased have been identified as Doha Devi (60), Mukesh (17) and Ameen (8), all from Bankapur village in Jewer area.
Police said the incident took place around 5.30 pm when a truck driver coming from Khurja towards Greater Noida lost control of his vehicle and entered into a village. The truck rammed into a house after killing three people and leaving three injured.
