State Agriculture board member and Azadpur Mandi president Rajendra Sharma mentioned that black-marketeres in connivance with Central Government officials play a key role in increasing the prices of vegetables.
“Such officials first spread information that vegetables will be imported in some days but in reality they do not even make a move, forget about vegetables,” he said. “Meanwhile vegetable businessmen fill their stock and when there’s scarcity of vegetables in market, these they sell vegetables with prices as per their wish.”
