After completing their two-month long series of Delhi Dialogues, the Aam Aadmi Party has finally brought in its star campaigners to wrap up the last week of campaigning before the Delhi Assembly elections.Actor Gul Panag, music director Vishal Dadlani and Raghu Ram of Roadies fame have been campaigning all over the city and in new and innovative ways. While Raghu has been mingling with students at Delhi University’s North Campus, Gul carried out a bike rally at Munirka Enclave.
According to sources in the party, the move to make the star campaigners rally towards the fag end of campaigning was to seal the youth and middle class vote. “We have put forward our vision clearly by conducting various Delhi Dialogues. Then we also gave people the complete blueprint of the vision document during our roadshow, door-to-door campaign and public meetings. Now the endorsement of this vision by these stars gives the party that additional push,” said a party member.
These campaigners have also been placed strategically to campaign for the party. Vishal Dadlani has primarily been holding rallies in areas in Outer Delhi so that the people can connect with him. Similarly, Raghu has been rallying in areas where the youth stays like Sadar Bazar, Delhi University and Karol Bagh. While Gul Panag is doing innovative rallies to get the upper middle class vote, she is also their sole woman star campaigner and is campaigning in Vasant Vihar as well as Krishna Nagar from where BJP’s Kiran Bedi is contesting.
