Soon after the Delhi High Court refused to entertain the Delhi Government plea on ACB chief’s appointment, Joint Commissioner of Police MK Meena appointed Inspector Brij Mohan as the station house officer (SHO) replacing Inspector Vinay Malik.
According to the order issued on June 29, “Inspector Brij Mohan is posted as SHO of Anti-Corruption Branch in place of Inspector Vinay Malik, with immediate effect.”
Earlier, on Monday, the High Court declined the Delhi Government’s request to restrain Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) chief Mukesh Kumar Meena from dealing with the anti-corruption department or even entering the office. Meena was appointed as Joint Commissioner of Police in ACB, earlier week of this month.
Justice VP Vaish refused to pass an interim order on the Delhi Government’s plea seeking to restrain Meena from entering the premises of the ACB and “interfering” in its activities, but asked him to “act in accordance with law”.
The tussle began between the lt. Governor Najeeb Jung and AAP Government after Meena’s appointment. The Additional Commissioner of Police SS Yadav, who was holding the ACB chief’s post, also wrote to the Vigilance Department complaint against Meena.
