The body of a youth who allegedly jumped into the Upper lake reportedly to commit suicide was not yet recovered till Sunday evening.
The police said the incident took place on Saturday night at around 11 pm. He might be around the age group of 20-25 years. The information was passed on to the police by passers-by who witnessed the incident.A police team was rushed immediately to the spot and the BMC divers started the search for the victim. However, the divers failed to find the victim and later the search operation was stalled. The search operation was again started on Sunday and continued till late in the evening but the victim was not found.
Police said that the rescue operation started immediately after receiving the information and no delay in the searching the victim was done but still the victim was not found.The divers and police failed to explain the mystery behind the missing victim as no signs of the victim and any information regarding the victim were found by them.Interestingly the police personnel investigating the case said that it is possible that the victim knew swimming and escaped unhurt and as huge crowd and police gathered at the spot, he escaped. The locals were not able to provide the description and other details of the victim.
