In a bid to give emphasis on understanding of advanced methods and their applications in energy savings and efficiency improvement of the process as well as whole process plant, methods including energy efficiency benchmarking, energy management system, pinch analysis, column targeting, auditing strategy, and guidelines for energy managers are used. GCE Group of St. Petersburg, Russia and CSIR-Indian Institute of Petroleum, Dehradun jointly organised a two-day workshop on “Energy efficiency advancement methods for industries trends and innovations”.
CSIR - Indian Institute of Petroleum, Dehardun has over the last several years, lead India’s efforts to improve energy efficiency of the refining sector by applying advanced techniques of process integration (Pinch Analysis). The GCE Group is a global leader in carrying out energy audits, furnace improvement studies, low level heat recovery and providing a consolidated road map for energy efficiency projects for a variety of industries.
The Indo-Russian Working Group on Energy and Energy Efficiency highlighted the importance of cooperation between the two countries for increasing the competence of the Indian industry in terms of improving their energy efficiency.
The speakers having several years of experience of working in area of energy efficient enhancement and energy conservation from Russia and India, delivered the lectures on the above mentioned topics.
