Work of preparing photo electoral rolls from July 1

The Madhya Pradesh State Election Commission has released the programme for preparing photo electoral rolls for the three-tier panchayat elections 2014-15.

Work of preparing photo electoral rolls for the panchayat election will begin on July 1. The electoral rolls will be prepared with the reference date of January 1, 2014.In the first phase, appointment of registration officers/assistant registration officers will be made till July 1. Selection and training of staff for preparing preliminary electoral rolls will be done till July 3.

Vidhan Sabha electoral rolls will be separated development block-wise and handed over to assistant registration officers till July 7. Work to merge supplementary electoral rolls in original ones, separating them Gram Panchayat, village and ward-wise and preparation of authority letters will be done till July 22. Draft electoral rolls with ward-wise markings of every Gram Panchayat will be prepared till August 11.

Copies of electoral rolls will be given to vendors on August 13. Vendors will make available check-lists of ward-wise lists to registration officers tillAugust 30.After corrections, the officers will hand back the electoral rolls to vendors by September 9. Draft published electoral rolls will be printed by vendors and handed over to Election Office by September 15.

In the second phase, concerning persons will send advance information about publication of electoral rolls and its publicity will be done by September 16. Authorised persons’ training will be held till September 19. Work for issuing public notice about electoral rolls’ publication and receiving claims and objections will be from September 23 to October 9. Claims and objections will be disposed of by October 17.

After their disposal, manuscripts with changes and deletion and Forms A, B, C will be given to vendors by October 21. Registration officers will check and amend check-lists received from vendors till October 27.Vendors will provide printed copies of supplementary electoral rolls to district office till October 31. Supplementary lists will be attached to the main electoral rolls by November 7. Electoral rolls will be finally published and will be available for sale on November 10.
