The Women’s Forum, a city-based social organisation, distributed blankets to the distressed people who are staying at footpaths and outside the railway station in the city on Monday night.
The Forum members along with Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Mayor AN Jena accompanied by social activist Rama Krushna Dakua, lokonath Das and Dr Bhasakar Hira distributed blankets to the poor homeless people at Ram Mandir, railway station and Raj Mahal square. About one hundred baggers and persons with disabilities were benefitted by the social organisation. Forum chairman Dr Sipra Hira, vice chairman Usha Nair and other members of the organisation went with the team.
