Miscreants decamped with valuables worth Rs 1 lakh from Shyam Nagar under Habibganj police station area on Tuesday.
According to the police the victim Ramkumar Rai and his wife had gone to work on Tuesday evening and when they returned on Wednesday morning they found that the house was ransacked.
When they returned the locks of the door were found broken and on entering the house they found that the valuables were missing. Police were informed and a complaint was lodged with the Habibganj police station.
In the complaint victim has claimed that the at around 9 pm he along with his wife left the house after properly locking the doors and when they returned on Wednesday morning the valuables were found missing.
Station House Officer of Habibganj police station GP Agrawal said that the victim and his wife work with the management staff of a private hospital and were on job on Tuesday night when the incident took place. They came to know about the burglary when they returned on Wednesday morning.
The victim was not able to ascertain the loss and told that he would be able to provide the exact loss after checking all the valuables in the house, he added.
Police were not able to provide the loss but the victim has claimed that valuables worth Rs 1 lakh were found missing. Victim and his wife works for a private hospital and were on night shift when the burglary took place.
The police have registered a case under section 457 and 380 of the IPC and have started further investigation. locals and neighbours would be questioned in the burglary.
