Movie enthusiasts have plenty of options this festive season, which has already approached and will continue for at least a month. Two Odia films are lined up for release during this Dussehra.

This year’s films include a combination of multi-starrers, romantic and thriller movies. Those fond of romantic thrillers can go to see ‘Pagala Karichu Tu’ to be released by the Sarthak Entertainment Pvt ltd soon. After its Sabyasachi and Archita starrer ‘Pagala Karichi Paunji Tora’ hit the box-office, the Sarthak films conceptualized ‘Pagal Karichu Tu’, a more interesting story with Amlan Das and Riya Dey as lead artists.

The movie is directed by Susanta Mani and Produced by Sitaram Agrawal. Other star casts of this film are Siddhanta Mahapatra, Mihir Das, Vijay Mohanty, Satyaki, Priyanka, Hari and Ankita (in an item song).

The melodious songs were composed by Bikash Das which are sung by Vinod Rathod, Babool Supriyo, Kumar Sanu, Udit Narayan and lyrics by Srikant Gautam.

Director Susant Mani said, “This is an action, romantic comedy. For the first time, I am working on a trendy, modern comedy where the presentation style is the key strength of my film.”

Similarly, the hit pair Anubhav and Barsha are coming in ‘Mental’. Mental was the working title of Salman’s recently released film ‘Jai Ho’. Anubhav loved the title and registered it now for his upcoming flick.

The film is a pure romantic comedy film under Anubhav’s home production Vishnupriya Art and Graphics Films. “Puja is all about revelry, fun and frolic. People go to watch movies with friends and relatives and this film has been made for family viewing with lots of entertainment,” said Anubhav.

‘Mental’ is being directed by Dilip Panda while Premananda has composed the music for the first time popular pop singer Mika Singh who has lent his voice for the title song. This film also stars Hari, Salil Mitra, Raimohan Parida  and new comer Rock.

“After Raja in June, Durga Puja is the biggest festival during which people go out to watch movies in large numbers. This year, we are expecting some good Odia movies,” said Prabir Hota a cine buff.
