Oxygen for the incumbent Hemant Soren Government seems to be getting short supplied as the post-poll dust started settling in Jharkhand. Relying on the crucial support of the Trinamool Congress, a new political force given birth during the parliamentary elections in the State, the party has once again sent SOS to the ruling coalition.
Reacting to the talks about the JMM-led Government being in minority, TMC's lok Sabha candidate from Ranchi Bandhu Tirkey has called for a show of strength at the right place. “I have heard these talks. I think in the given circumstances the best way is to prove majority on the floor of the House,” said Tirkey on Tuesday.
After MlAs like Chandrashekar Dubey of Congress and Vidyut Baran Mahto and Hemlal Murmu of JMM jettisoned their parent parties to contest the lok Sabha polls on others' ticket the Government is looking up to Bandhu Tirkey and Chamra linda; the two new entrants into the TMC. Views of the Mamata Banerjee headed party would be crucial as unlike the earlier names their membership from the Assembly is not in danger. Moreover, the TMC had on earlier occasions made it clear that the Hemant Soren Government would be floored anytime after the parliamentary poll results are out on May 16.
Tirkey also informed that a crucial meeting of the party was going to take place on May 12-13 in Kolkata in which the matter would come for discussion before any official decision was taken. “I am not independent like before. I will have to abide by the decision of the party supremo," said Tirkey
