As an artist it is my duty to spread a meaningful message among the masses and the increasing technological influence is one of them. So I thought to work over,” says a noted artist, Yashwant Singh, whose painting exhibition concluded here on Sunday.

The art lovers were astonished to look at the abstract art in a solo painting exhibition put up by the noted artist at Rangdarshini Gallery, Bharat Bhavan.Organised by Roopabh series of fine arts at Bharat Bhavan, the exhibition began here on Tuesday. With 18 paintings, Singh has beautifully showcased the world of technology on canvas.

While talking about his works, he said, “These days we see increasing cases of cyber crime and which is affecting the life of the people. Moreover, there was an era when children played in parks and gardens, they could feel the fresh air, but with the launch of new computerized games their childhood is affected,” said Singh.He further said, “I chose this theme to highlight my perception that everything in excess can be harmful.”

Elaborating, he said, “Technology has become an integral part of our life and without it we cannot even think of a single work to be done. But this is creating a disastrous situation for the young generation.”

Singh with the use of artistic approach has carved out an important message for the masses to understand the real face of the technology, wonderfully illustrated in another version of abstract art. He has given the paintings a refined finishing touch with the combined use of dull and vibrant colours magnificently.Notably, out of 18 paintings 12 were acrylic over papers and the rest six paintings were over canvas.

He has showcased how the technology other than being a boon to the society is proving to be a curse as well.His creations were highly appreciated by the viewers as they walked through the gallery. The highly versatile and aesthetic perception of the creations of the artist has enabled the viewers to touch most profound depths of the concept The crowd watching the creations were spell-bound by the attractive art works. They revealed various moods that were just created by the fine movements of the paint brush.
