Due to the irresponsibility of the Reliance group, essential services like telecommunication and water supply have ben badly affected in the district headquarters town here.
As per information, a vast chunk of population of Bhudharaja, Fatak, Shantinager and Katarardhua area have been deprived of getting regular pipe water supply for last two days as the main water line has got damaged by the Reliance company. In its bid to spread cable lines, the company while digging earth through mechanical devices has damaged many water pipes of the city. When the main road has been badly affected, water supply also has been stalled to many areas. Similarly, telecommunication service of the BSNl also has suffered as its wires too have been damaged.
District Collector Balwant Singh, meanwhile, has warned Reliance to be careful. The executive engineer of PHED also informed that he would lodge an FIR against Reliance soon as it has damaged the main water line inside the city which has led to problem in supplying water to the inhabitants during the scorching heat.But an officer of the works department, on the condition of anonymity, said that they were being pressurised by the seniors at the State capital to keep mum on Reliance activities.
