The suicide mystery of woman in Mandir Hasoud unfolded into murder allegedly committed by her husband and father-in-law for allegedly revenging extramarital affair of the victim.
Body of the victim was found in her home on October 26 and accused father-son has been arrested, Station House Officer (SHO) Mandir Hasoud Kamta Prasad Verma told reporters on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as lalita Yadav (28) wife of Hemant Yadav (32) resident of Mandir Hasoud. On October 26 the Hemant along with his father Kumar Yadav (50) had strangulated lalita and in order to concoct murder as suicide they suspended the body with a rope. later they brought down the body and informed father of the deceased woman that she had committed suicide, SHO said. However lalita’s father raised suspicion over the death and informed police. Police had taken lalita’s body into custody from the cremation ground, the SHO added.
During the course of investigations, it was found that Hemant and lalita had married about 10 years back but both did not have any child. After consulting doctors it was learnt that Hemant had some medical complications due to which the couple was not able have child, SHO said.
later, lalita developed affair with some person living nearby and she gave birth to a child. The husband-wife had frequent scuffle and on October 26 after having a fight with lalita, Hemant disclosed the matter to his father Kumar Yadav. The Father and son then allegedly killed lalita in rage, the SHO said.
