The subordinate officers of the central zone electricity board are annoyed with the CMD of the company. following the suspension of five officers, including a general manager in Sheopur, by the CMD. The opposition is mounting and the State electricity board association is preparing to launch an agitation.
The CMD of electricity company Vivek Porwal visited Sheopur on 25 November and called on local MlA Durgalal Vijay and collector Dhananjay Singh. After that he suspended GM GK Bharadya, two DGM KK Mittal and DK Maurya and manager DK Katare and Ajit Kumar Rajput on the basis of recovering illegal money and other allegations from the farmers on the name of giving power connections. Without knowing their side the MP electricity board association is angry on this action.
The association wrote a letter to the CMD writing that arguments of suspended persons were not heard which was necessary as per the rules. So the suspension orders should be immediately cancelled otherwise the association would launch a big agitation.
The association has 1006 members including officer of SE, DE, AE and JE ranks. The CMD of the company Vivek Porwal had come to Gwalior on November 14 and called SE and DE for a meeting in hotel Tansen. Before the beginning of the meeting there were some shortcomings in the data of Gwalior city. At this the CMD ended the meeting. This abrupt ending of the meeting caused a loss of rupees 20 lacks on government vehicles, diesel and hotel etc.
The general secretary of MP electricity distribution engineering association VKS Parihar said that one sided action of CMD is wrong. If he had any basis for action he should have given opportunity to allow the subordinate officer to keep their side for hearing. This type on one side action would not be tolerated. If the suspension order is not cancelled the association would oppose it.
