SSP Gwalior reviews city's security situation

Wednesday, 31 December 2014 | PNS | Gwalior

Close in the heels of many shootouts and looting incidents being reported in the city, SSP Gwalior Santosh Singh on Tuesday directed police station in-charges to immediately discharge their duties by taking rounds in the field and keep watch, especially on the banks.

Chairing a meeting with police officers in view of the New Year, Santosh said any suspected individuals or those doubtful persons who could not give correct answer should be taken to police station for interrogation. To check the increasing crimes in the city, old time miscreants and warrantees should also be questioned, he added.

The police officer said that station in-charge should discharge their duties by taking round in the field instead of sitting at the police station. The police should closely monitor those people sitting near tea vendors and pan kiosks and verify their identities. If they can not give a satisfactory reply they should be taken to station for verification, Santosh said.

In the meeting, Addl SP Dinesh Kaushal, Pratibha Mathew, Rahul loda, DBS Bhadauria, Deepak Bhargava, Vivek Agrawal, Vivek Singh, Akhilesh Renwal and RBS Raghuvanshi were present.
