Veteran journalist, founder of Odia daily The Khabar and Talcher Press Club Sambadik Gourab late Dibakar Mishra’s 99th birth anniversary was celebrated here.
Eminent personalities from different walks of life attended the function which was organised in the Press Club premises. They admired Mishra’s dedication to the profession and adherence to media ethics.

Mishra, Talcher Bar Association president Dayasagar Mishra and district general secretary Kalandi Samal joined as guests and recollected their memories with Mishra. It was decided that the 100th anniversary of Mishra would be held in a grand way by publishing a souvenir on his life.
Among others, Councilor Jayant Bhutia, BJP leader Jajati Pattanayak, Talcher Working Journalists’ Association general secretary Dhiramohan Ray, Rashmi Mishra, advocate Uchhan Pattanaik, Jadumani Sahu, Prakash Moharana and Jitendra Kumar Das were present. Talcher Journalist Association president PC Sahu presided, while senior journalist Debi Mishra gave vote of thanks.
