Safety is Balco's highest priority, says CEO Nair

The ‘Vendors Meet – 2014’ was held on Tuesday by Bharat Aluminium Company limited (Balco) at WB Canyon Hotel in Raipur city. The meet saw participation of nearly 200 representatives from 80 companies from India and abroad. The function started with lighting of a lamp lead by Ramesh Nair, CEO and whole-time Director, Dinesh Mantri, CFO and other senior officers of Balco management.

In his opening address, Nair, emphasised that safety is the company’s highest priority. Nair went on to strengthen the role of vendors as ‘strategic partners’ who had lot of avenues to grow perpetually.

He said that vendors should align themselves with the core values of the company and make their business relationships stronger and more transparent. Nair said that Balco is committed to maintain long-term business relations with vendors who value the importance of Industrial Health, Safety, Environment and implement best practices of Engineering.

On the occasion, other senior management officials Puneet Jagatramkha, Head – Marketing, Prantik Dasgupta, Head-Commercial, BK Sriwastwa, Head – Community Relations were also present.
