Five miscreants were nabbed and aluminium wire of Madhya Pradesh State Electricity Board (MPSEB) worth Rs 1 lakh was seized from JK Nagar under Gautam Nagar police station area on Tuesday.
According to the police during the vehicle checking at JP Nagar when a loading auto was stopped and checked several bundles of Aluminium and copper wires was recovered from five persons in the loading auto.
The loading auto was seized and in the initial probe it was found that the Aluminium wires were of MPSEB and were stolen by four miscreants. The five miscreants were identified as Wasim Mansuri (21), Shakir Khan (23), Mohammad Asif (24), Yaqub Khan (25) and Suresh Kushwaha (28).
Wasim, Shakir, Asif and Yaqub are resident of Shujalpur in Shajapur district while Suresh is a resident of Karond who was driving the loading auto. City Superintendent of Police Hanumanganj Navratan Singh said that the goods laden in the loading auto looked suspicious to the police personnel and when they stopped the vehicle for checking, they found high tension Aluminium wires.
There were 21 bundles of wires which were recovered from the miscreants.The wire was stolen from Rajgarh district where the installation of high tension power line is under process and carried the wires till the outskirts of the city.
They later rented loading auto of Santosh Kushwaha. He has been nabbed by in the investigation it was found that he was not aware and involved in the theft and only worked as a carrier of the goods, he added. Rajgarh police has been coordinated and conveyed regarding the seized wire. The further investigation has been started.
