The 21st Rourkela Book Fair, organised under the aegis of Adardsh Pathagar at the Bhanja Bhawan ground here, concluded on Tuesday evening with a colourful celebration.
A total of 130 stalls were installed at the book fair, which was started on February 15. The participant also scored a good business during the event. Apart this, noted writer and poet Trilochan Mathan was felicitated with the laxmidhar Nayak Saraswata Samman for his outstanding contribution to literature and culture. Similarly, the Biswa Bharati Vidya Mandir was accolade with the Chandan Smruti Samman.
State Transport Minister Subrat Tarai attended the valedictory ceremony and said that a healthy society can not be imagined without book as a book contains the philosophy for a good human being.
Emphasizing on Jagannath culture, RSP CoC Ramendra Kumar urged everyone to go through books regarding Jagannath culture. It will not only give knowledge but also help eradicating the social imbalance, he added.
