Panjab University would host 5th Rose Festival from February 15 to 16 at PU campus.
The two-day festival would have many competitions, fashion show, Rose Prince/Rose Princess and Star Night. There would be flower, photography, singing, rangoli, fancy dress, collage making, slogan writing, dancing, poetic recitation, face painting, rose quiz, creative mehendi, painting competitions for various categories. All the competitions are open for schools, colleges, universities and general public. PU Registrar Prof AK Bhandari inaugurated the Rose Festival on Thursday.
Panjab university celebrates martyrdom day
Chandigarh: The Department of Gandhian and Peace Studies, Panjab University observed Martyrdom Day on Thursday by organising Sarva Dharma prayers and blood donation camp. PU Vice-Chancellor (V-C) Professor Arun K Grover, teachers, students and researchers participated in Sarva Dharma prayers/bhajans. A two minutes silence was also observed by the audience as a mark of respect for the martyrs. In the Sarva Dharma prayers/bhajans, people from different communities/ religious backgrounds shared their views and highlighted the unity of all communities.
KU V-C inaugurated two information Kiosks
Kurukshetra: Vice-Chancellor Kurukshetra University lt Gen Dr DDS Sandhu inaugurated two information kiosks located at Examination Enquiry Counter and New Examination building at KU on Thursday. Sandhu said that students are the most important stakeholders of the University and these information kiosks will help them in getting important information relating to admission forms, fee structure, re-evaluation, duplicate DMCs, degrees, transcripts, migration.
