Puri temple replica inaugurated in Gujarat

After six years of labour and with support of the Odia Diaspora and sponsors from Gujarat, the Jagannath Cultural Academy and Research Centre (JCARC) is ready with a temple as a replica of the Puri Shreemandir.

The Trinity was installed in the shrine amidst elaborate religious rituals and puja on the Rath Yatra. The temple was inaugurated by Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel. The JCARC complex is located near Shanidev Temple, Adalaj Inter Section, SG Highways in Gandhinagar.

The centre will have schools of wellness and yoga, skill development in art and culture and education and philosophy. It will impart training on Patta Chitra, wood carving and Odissi dance.
