Puri Rath Yatra Red Cross camp held

The State branch of the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) in association with Youth Red Cross, Junior Red Cross and District Red Cross Branch, Puri organised a Rath Yatra social service camp here to provide healthcare services to the pilgrims and visitors during the Car Festival.

The camp was inaugurated on June 28, a day before the mega fete, by Governor SC Jamir. On the occasion, he described the camp to be an attempt to tap the immense potentiality of volunteerism latent within the youths of the State.

Among others, School and Mass Education Minister Debi Prasad Mishra and Puri district Collector Dhiren Kumar Pattnaik joined as  distinguished guests. IRCS State honorary secretary Dr Chakradhara Panda extended the welcome address, while Bhupesh Chandra Sahoo, Cousellor of Dhenkanal Autonomous College gave vote of thanks.
