Punjab Government on Sunday gave additional charge to eight IAS officers in the State with immediate effect.
Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal gave his nod for allocation of additional charge to eight IAS officers of the State Government “in view of the larger public interest”, an official spokesperson said.As per orders, Technical Education and Industrial Training Secretary Rakesh Verma has been given the additional charge of secretary Medical Education and Research, while Punjab Agro managing director (MD) and Sports secretary Kahan Singh Pannu will hold the additional charge of Secretary Irrigation.
Mandi Board secretary Deepinder Singh has been given the additional charge of Warehousing Corporation MD. Special Secretary, Home, C Siban will also look after the post of Rural Development and Panchayats director. GK Singh has become the Director General School Education (DGSE), while Indu Malhotra will become the commissioner of Patiala Municipal Corporation.
Civil Aviation additional director and special secretary APS Virk has been given the additional charge of land Records director, while Information and Public Relations director Ashwani Kumar has been given the additional charge of State Transport Commissioner.
