The founder and president of the Animal and Environment Care Organisation, Puneet Tripathi has been invited to participate in the 7th international colloquium on working Equids organised by the World Horse Welfare at Royal Holloway University of london to be held from July 1 to 3.
He would leave for london on Monday, June 30 from Bangalore.Around 100 delegates from world’s most renowned animal welfare organisations will participate in the conference. He is one of the few representatives from India and only one from the State.This event will be an essential forum for those who want to improve the welfare of the 100 million working horses, ponies, donkeys & mules around the world as well as those seeking to improve livelihoods in communities that depend on them.
The colloquium is a recognised forum for discussing new research in the field of working Equines welfare. Evidence suggests that the welfare of both working equines and people is strongly influenced by socio-economic factors, but how well understood is the impact of working equines role in human livelihood and how do we establish more effectively the link between the welfare of both.
