Persons recommended by Cabinet Minister and Uttarkashi MlA Pritam Singh Panwar were not appointed through outsourcing under Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) in the Education Department.
Following this, Panwar wrote a letter directing Education department officers to cancel all recent appointments under RMSA and conduct fair inquiry over these appointments in Uttarkashi district. Political intervention caused delay in appointment to several posts which are supposed to be filled through outsourcing under RMSA in Uttarkashi district. However, Panwar denied this and said, “I did not recommended anyone for appointments to these posts in the district.”
Some local applicants had approached him and complained about irregularities in the appointment to several posts of lab assistant and office assistant. “Taking cognisance these complaints I have written a letter to education department directing a fair inquiry of the appointments to these posts in the district,” he added. Sources in the education department said that the cabinet minister had recommended about 30 persons for appointment to these posts in the district.
The Uttarkashi chief education officer Raghunath Arya said that the recruitment to 15 out of 34 posts of lab assistant and office assistant in Uttarkashi was recently completed by the department. With the direction of school education director general Radhika Jha, the appointments to these posts have been cancelled, he added
The appointed lab assistants were supposed to deploy in the Government Inter Colleges. In order to strengthen science lab, all the Government inter colleges have been allocated funds under RMSA in the district. Another education officer said that except three districts named Tehri, Almora and Uttarkashi, these posts were filled through outsourcing under RMSA in all the districts of the State.
