BJP State President Dharamlal Kaushik entered the party’s swanky new office at Kushabhau Thakre premises here in presence of the Chief Minister Raman Singh and senior leaders of the party besides ministers, MPs and MlAs on Monday.
Singh congratulated Kaushik and said that under his leadership the party will strengthen further and play a beneficial role for the government in the State.
“Kaushik is a senior leader and has knowledge about every nook and corner of Chhattisgarh. The recent victory in Antagarh by-poll immediately after Kaushik was appointed as State BJP President is a good sign and it hints that the party will reach new heights under his leadership,” said Singh.
He thanked the party’s national leadership for assigning him the responsibility of the party’s Chief in Chhattisgarh.
Kaushik said that the workers are the real strength of the party who had presented an example of hard work and dedication in the recent Antagarh by-poll.
“The Antagarh victory is a result of hard work by the workers and welfare policies formulated by Chief Minister Raman Singh. The party will continue its winning spree in the local body elections also,” added Kaushik.
Earlier the leaders paid tributes to Dr Shyamaprasad Mukherjee, Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay and Vijayayaraje Scindia by offering flowers at their statues installed in the premises.
BJP State General Secretary and MlA Shivratan Sharma conducted the proceedings of the programme while State Vice-president Sachchidanand Upasne proposed a vote of thanks.
