Human trafficking accused Panna lal Mahto, allegedly involved in trafficking over 5,000 children from the State, has revealed the names of several placement agencies located at Ranchi and Punjabi Bagh and Shakurpur areas of Delhi during the interrogation being done by the Khunti Police. Pannalal is currently on remand of four days after being arrested from Delhi a few days back.

Mahto however, refused to accept having any links with the Naxal outfits. According to Mahto he came into contact with the minister after he approached him to get his candidates appointed as computer operators in different blocks in the state. Former state Agriculture Minister Yogendra Sao was also arrested from his residence for allegedly floating an ultra outfit – ‘Jharkhand Tiger’ for extortion purposes.

In addition to that Pannalal also disclosed some his properties located in some of the prime locations of Delhi. According to the police sources, Pannalal has been running several sub-units to expand the business of human trafficking in Delhi and amassed huge properties in Delhi, Ranchi and Khunti. His connections with Maoists are being probed into by the State Police.

Panna lal is also wanted by CID after being found to have links with the former Agriculture Minister Yogendra Sao.

Jharkhand Police had approached Delhi Crime Branch to arrest the most wanted human trafficker couple — Panna lal Mahto and his wife Sunita Kumari who are running a human trafficking racket including sale of minor girls.

The couple was arrested from a hideout from Shakurpur area in Delhi on October 19 while they had come to collect their belongings in order to flee to some unknown place.
