Panic gripped during shooting of a Television

Panic gripped during shooting of a Television poll programme in Sultanpur when one of the guests, who later turned out to be a history-sheeter, suddenly set himself ablaze and also embraced a Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader, a retired army personnel, on Monday evening. 
 
The critically injured guest and BSP leader, both were rushed to District Hospital from where the doctors referred them to Tramua Centre here at King Georges Medical College in lucknow. However, the guest was pronounced dead upon arrival while the BSP leader is still battling for his life. The motive behind the incident could not be confirmed but cops of Kotwali police station in Sultanpur claimed to have registered a case in this regard and making further investigation.
 
Reports said that a youth, identified as Durgesh Kumar Singh, hailing from Belgarh locality of Haldarpur in Mau district was present during shooting of a television show `Janmanch programme” of doordarshan at Tikonia Park opposite Vikas Bhawan in Sultanpur, on Monday evening. When the recording is in progress and people airing their woes before the leaders of the political parties, Durgesh suddenly appeared in the scene and poured some petrol and set himself on fire to self-immolate. He later rushed and embraced BSP leader Kamrujamma Fauji, hailing from Angrapul area of Gosainganj in Sultanpur, according to people present there at the show. 
 
later some guests doused the fire and cops present there immediately shifted both the victims to hospital from there were finally taken to lucknow but Durgesh died on way to hospital. The cops of the Kotwali police station, who were probing the matter claimed that they later learnt that Durgesh was a listed criminal and having his history-sheet registered at Haldarpur police station in Mau. He was also having criminal record in lucknow. However, his enmity with the BSP leader is yet to be ascertained.
