Parmeshwar Das has taken over as DIG North Chotanagpur range. He had replaced Suman Gupta who had been transferred to other place. PR Das is an officer of 1998 batch.
Earlier he was commandant of JAP 3, 4 and 8 and SP of Sahebganj. After assuming the post of Deputy Inspector General of North Chotanagpur range Das said that he will focus on minimising the crime and Naxal activities in the area.
