Ahead of Global Investors’ Summit, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan here on Monday, taking a leaf from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Rs Make in India’ campaign, coined the slogan of Rs Make in MP’, adding that the proposed Global Investors’ Summit in Indore has generated a whale of response with companies from across the globe evincing their interest to invest in Madhya Pradesh.
In an informal chat with mediapersons, Chief Minister who was in the city on Monday to take stock of the ongoing preparation works for the meet, said the Australian High Commissioner has evinced interest to invest in dairy industry in Madhya Pradesh and they will likely to sign an MoU in this regard during the Summit.
Similarly, he said the State Government has also received queries from Canadian Government that they wanted to visit Madhya Pradesh during before the investors’ summit. Claiming that Madhya Pradesh provided an ideal opportunity for investment, the Chief Minister said land was no constraint for the State Government as it had 25,000 hectares of reserved land to set up industries.
Stating that to facilitate easy clearances, single window system has been started in Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister said to give a boost to industries, as many as 327 industrial sectors have been identified in Madhya Pradesh and four industrial corridors have been set up to lift Madhya Pradesh in industrial sector after its stupendous growth in agriculture.
Earlier while reviewing the preparation works, Chouhan said 3000 delegates have already given their confirmation to take part in the investors meet. Besides, he said representatives from seven countries will also give their presentation during the investors meet. Expressing pleasure over A grade economic rating of Madhya Pradesh, Chouhan said Madhya Pradesh is among only four states in the country which have been given A grade economic rating. This shows growing economic prosperity of Madhya Pradesh.
Earlier soon after his arrival in the city on Monday afternoon, Chief Minister accompanied by state industries minister Yashodaharam Raje Scindia, state chief secretary Anthony Desa, TRIFEC director DP Ahujan, Indore mayor Krishna Murari Moghe and other senior state and district officials inspector the Brilliant Convention Centre , the venue of the investors summit and gave necessary directions to the officials for making the event a grand success.
