Two persons involved in the scam of Sub Inspector and Police Constable Recruitment examination conducted by Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) have been arrested.
STF officials arrested Rajendra Tiwari from Gwalior who provided Rs 15 lakh to the MPPEB officials for facilitating clearing of police Sub Inspector examination of his son Pralekh Tiwari.
Pralekh Tiwari after clearing the examination was under training at Bhopal training center and went missing after his name surfaced in the examination scam. His father Rajendra Tiwari who provided the money was also made accused and in the course of investigation he was nabbed from Gwalior on February 26.
Pralekh is still missing and the STF officials have started searching for the accused.
In another examination scam Yogendra Raghuvanshi has been arrested from Narsinghpur who cleared the Police Constable Recruitment examinations. Chandu Raghuvanshi of Sohagpur introduced Yogendra to Tarang Sharma who informed Yogendra that MPPEB official Nitin Mahendra could help him clearing the examination and paid Rs 3 lakh.
The accused after clearing the examination was posted at Hoshangabad.
Both the accused were produced in the First Class Judicial Magistrate Kavita Ivnati Bhopal court on Thursday. STF requested police remand of Rajendra Tiwari which was granted by the court. Tiwari was sent under police custody till March 3, 2014. The other accused Yogendra Raghuvanshi has been sent under judicial custody. Investigations regarding absconding Pralekh Tiwari have been started and the STF would be questioning Rajendra Tiwari regarding the whereabouts of his son during the police remand.
