Madhya Pradesh Commission for Protection of Child Rights (MPCPCR) has raised concerns over the use of objectionable words in the ‘Jai Ho’ movie’ and has demanded to remove those words. 

Controversies are not going to settle soon for ‘Jai Ho’ movie as after attracting ire from Muslims on praising Narendra Modi, a fresh controversy has been stirred by the MPCRCR.

Member of MPCRCR RH lata and Vibhanshu Joshi have told that the double meaning words in the movie ‘ Jai Ho ‘ is in violation of section 13(C ) of Protection of Children from Sexual Offence Act 2012.

Taking cognizance of the matter the MPCRCR has written to National Commission for Protection of Child Rights, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and Chairman of Censor Board of India.

In the movie ‘Jai Ho’ in a scene between Salman Khan, Daisy Shah and a child artist are seen using objectionable words.

Earlier these members have raised objections against the use of indecent dialogues in ‘Gippi’ movie. They had written their objection to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and National Commission for Protection of Child Rights and Chairman of Censor Board of India and after the objections were raised those dialogues were removed from the movie. The movie ‘16’ also faced the same controversy and resulted in editing the objectionable contents.

 According to Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act-2012 and Guidelines of NCPCR, no child should be made to perform or enact scenes or dialogues which are not appropriate according his/her age. 

Under section 13(C) of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act-2012 the indecent or obscene representation of child is prohibited.
