More rain, hailstorm in next 24 hrs likely

Several regions of the State received rainfall and hailstorms making the weather conditions unpleasant for the third consecutive day and still the trend would remain their told the Met officials. However, the State capital and nearby districts had a respite from the inclement weather conditions on Thursday.

Weather would not provide any respite from the harsh and abrupt conditions in the next 48 hours and the conditions are likely to provide relief after 48 hours.

Hailstorm and rainfall are going to be witnessed in the next 24 hours which might inflict more pains to the farmers who have suffered huge crop damages in the past 5-6 days across the State.

The day temperatures provided a relief from the cold conditions on Thursday and the Met officials have told that the steep change in the day and night temperatures would not be witnessed with the abrupt weather conditions.

Heavy rainfall in the Gwalior region has been reported. The region received 7 cm of rainfall in the past 24 hours.

Clear sky and sun shine were witnessed in the morning in the city which were followed by dark and dense cloud cover was witnessed late in the afternoon but rains shied from the city.  The lowest night temperature was recorded in Shivpuri at around 13 degree Celsius on Wednesday.

Among the major cities the night temperatures were recorded in the range of 14-15 degree Celsius while the day temperature was recorded in the range of 25-28 degree Celsius. Gwalior recorded 7 cm of rainfall, Ashok Nagar and Mungawali received 5 cm of rainfall, Seronj and Kurwai recorded 4 cm of rainfall, Khajuraho, Sagar and Tikamgarh received 3 cm of rainfall, Narsinghpur, Satna, Naugaon, Raisen, Vidisha and Guna received 2 cm of rainfall and Hoshangabad, Jabalpur, Rewa, Mandla, Malajkhand and Damoh received 1 cm of rainfall.
