Mohapatra new State Bar Council chief

Senior advocate of Odisha High Court Manas Ranjan Mohapatra, elected to the Bar Council of Odisha earlier this year, was unanimously selected to be council’s Chairman for next five years.

Debadutta Mishra, an advocate from western Odisha, was selected to be the vice-chairman of the council, which has 25 members.

Similarly, Debi Prasad Dhal was also unanimously selected to represent the State Bar Council in the Bar Council of India. The council also selected its members for the finance, pension and welfare committees.

Council chairman Mohapatra said the newly-formed council would work sincerely to improve the capacity-building of lawyers of the State. “The council will also strive towards improving the standard of the legal education in the State and ensure proper welfare of the members of the council,” he added.
