The Central Public Sector Undertakings and large private sector enterprises operating in the core sectors of the economy in Chhattisgarh will showcase models of technological development in an exhibition to be held during three-day ‘Rajyotsav’ celebration commencing on Saturday.
The PSUs which are displaying their models in the exhibition are Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP), National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC), South Eastern Coalfields limited and (SECl).Among the private sector, GMR limited, Bharat Aluminium Company ltd (BAlCO), Sharda Energy, Jaiswal Niko limited and Godavari Steel and Power units will display their models.
The preparations for the ‘Rajyotsav’ are going on a war footing at the Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee premises here.A total of 15 hangars covering an area of over 9000 sq.ft. have been built to exhibit technology development by the PSUs and private sector enterprises.The other highlights of the event are Shilpgram ( Handicrafts Village), Food Zone, Fun Zone and cultural programmes to be held during the three-day festival.
The Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corporation (CSIDC) is making massive arrangements at the venue. This apart, exhibitions of various Central and State Government departments and undertakings will be the main attraction at the festival.
The State Agriculture Department will display live Development exhibition.The ‘Shilpgram’ based on handicrafts and Gramodyog will be a special attraction at the ‘Rajyotsav’. Belmetal works, Terrakota, bamboo craft, costa craft, and handloom, Kosa silk sarees woven by famous weavers will be on display and for sale. There will be about 120 shops at the Shilpgram.
Various cultural programmes will be held in the evening. The artistes of Chhattisgarh will present folk music, folk songs, folk dances on all the three days. A light and sound programme based on modern technology will be conducted.Parking arrangements have been made at the venue. Different vehicles have different parking lots.Security arrangements are being made by deploying a large contingent of police officers and other security staff.
CCTV have been installed at all the points to oversee the venue. The entry on all the three days will be free for the citizens.
