With an aim to rectify technical snags at the earliest and for ensuring the disruptions-free electricity to the consumers, the State Power department has recently launched mobile vans in the capital city.
The mobile vans will ply in all the divisions and will rectify the technical snags especially at night. Now, consumer can lodge their complaint by dialing toll-free no 18004190405 and control room will deploy the van to rectify the problem of the respective area.
The inclement weather has been causing huge inconvenience to the department for maintaining the round -the-clock electricity to the consumers.
The long power cuts has become a perennial problem in the different locations of the capital especially after city witness rough weather and it becomes worst especially during the night.
After considering the plight of the residents, the State power department has recently launched three mobile vans with an aim to rectify the technical snags during the night time. The mobile vans will be used for the night service and rectify the technical snags between 9 pm and 6 am.
The vans will rectify the technical snags at lines or at sub station level in north, south and central divisions of the capital city. The mobile van will receive instructions from the sub station and reach to the spot after consumers lodge complaint to the toll free number.
After confirming about the launching of three mobile vans for rectifying the technical snags especially during night, SS Yadav, Managing Director, UPCl said that strict instructions are regularly given to the department officials for rectifying the technical snags in order to avoid inconvenience to the residents.
He said that department have been extensively working for lowering down the line-loss in the Garhwal and Kumaon divisions in order to bridge the gap between the demand and supply of electricity in the State.
Yadav told that the department has been continuously procuring electricity from other States in order to provide disruption free electricity to consumers.
It is also equally important to mention here that the department has been continuously receiving electricity through tenders and will receive 10.4 million units of electricity on Friday.
