A two-day mega Shivratri Fair with local flavour and fervour started on Thursday at the foothills of Dhwajdhari Mountain organised by Dhwajadhari Ashram. State Water Resources and Child Welfare Minister Annapurna Devi inaugurated the fair. After offering sacred libation to the deity of lord Shiva she wished the huge crowd gathered on the occasion for a joyous Shivratri full of festivities.
In this two days fair thousands of devotees, came in hordes from surrounding districts and State. In the inaugural meeting the Minister insisted to strike a judicious balance between developmental aspect of the shrine and the concern for forest conservation as envisaged under the Forest Conservation Act.
