The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the State Crime Branch police on Sunday sealed the corporate and head offices of Micro Finance ltd at Sahidnagar and Rasulgarh here, respectively, and seized several documents. The EOW had on Saturday had arrested the company’s director Baikuntha Patnaik and the Panchayati Raj Commissioner-cum-Secretary’s Personal Assistant (PA) Ajay Swain on the charges of money laundering and issuing official letters in favour of the company without prior permission, respectively. While the State Government has lodged an FIR against the company, Crime Branch DIG Rajesh Kumar is heading the investigation.
