It rained heavily in different spells in the state and state capital on Saturday. Warning of heavy to very heavy rains in the next 24 hours has been issued by Met department on Saturday. Bhopal received 6 cm of rainfall on Saturday. Heavy showers were witnessed with intervals which lashed the city during the day and were followed by light showers and drizzle which continued till late in the night.
Movement of low pressure area system over Bay of Bengal was witnessed and it has reached the state inducing rains which would be experienced in the next 24 hours, said Met department.Bhopal, Hoshangabad and Indore divisions would receive very heavy to heavy rainfall in isolated places while Jabalpur division would receive heavy rainfall in isolated places.
A low pressure area over Vidharbha and Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation over Rajasthan has helped in inducing rainfall in the state.
Rainfall after long interval has pleased the city people. Intermittent showers for the second consecutive day were witnessed in the city on Saturday made the weather conditions pleasant. Heavy rainfall was witnessed in several areas in the past 24 hours. Budhni received 9 cm of rainfall, Patelabad received 7 cm of rainfall, Vidisha received 6 cm of rainfall, Sironj received 5 cm of rainfall, Ratlam received 4 cm of rainfall in the past 24 hours.
Day temperature was recorded at 31 degree Celsius on Saturday while the night temperature was 23.4 degree Celsius. The day temperatures were witnessed around 31 degree Celsius and night temperatures were witnessed around 24 degree Celsius.
