The 90th death anniversary of poet Gangadhar Meher was observed at the Kalinga Hospital Square here on Sunday. State Culture Department Secretary Aravinda Padhee garlanded the poet’s statue and referred to his great literary works.
Former administrator Sanjib Hota and Narendra Mishra garlanded his statue and focused on his contribution for the Odia literature. Gangadhara Meher Jayanti Committee secretary and Utkal Sammilani Mancheswar Industrial Branch president Dillip Dashsharma and committee convenor Mahire Meher also talked on his contributions. Among others, Utkal Sammilani State general secretary Adwaita Kumar Patra, Usha Rani Mohanty, Udayanath Tripathy, Gita Meher, Bhagaban Sahoo and Purna Chandra Majhi were present.
