A large number of students, public representatives, government employees and people from all walks of life jointly carried out a massive cleanliness and sanitation drive to mark the ongoing ‘Clean India – Healthy India Campaign’ here.
Great enthusiasm was witnessed among the participants, who carried out cleaning work at Bandhawa Pond, the weekly bazaar’s venue, old bus stand and main roads of the city.
The Superintendent of Police (SP), Amit Kamble, Zila Panchayat CEO, Deepak Soni, Zila Panchayat member, Rupsai Salam, MP’s representative, Brijmohan Devangan, Nagar Panchayat’s Vice President, Yudhishthir Jain were among the dignitaries participated in the drive.
While addressing the gathering, Kamble urged one and all to make it their habit of maintaining hygiene at public places. Soni also encouraged the locals for keeping their surroundings neat and clean. He stressed on maintaining cleanliness in and around the water bodies to prevent it from being polluted and asked the people to ensure purity of the water before using.
Soni appealed to the local residents to contribute in the ongoing cleanliness drive to make the city a clean and healthy place to live.
