Man dies after attacks by brother-in-law, friends

A 30-year old man who was allegedly attacked by his brother-in-law and his friends with sharp-edged weapons on June 23 in Rajharsh Colony under Kolar police station area died on Saturday. Police said the victim Pappu Ahirwar succumbed to his injuries on Saturday while undergoing treatment at Hamidia Hospital. The police informed that the victim was attacked with sharp edged weapon by his brother-in-law Kamlesh Ahirwar and his two friends after a fight broke between the two.  Victim’s sister and father were also injured in the attack and were still undergoing treatment.

Police said the accused Kamlesh used to live with his in-laws at Kolar. last month he had a fight with his wife after which he left the house and went to his hometown Garhakota but around seven days ago he along with his two friends arrived in the city and reached the victim’s house in Kolar and attacked the family. In the attack four persons including a woman were injured. The police registered a case under Section 302 of the IPC against Kamlesh Ahirwar and have started further investigation.

A case under Section 307 of the IPC was registered against the two friends of the accused.During the investigation the accused has been arrested and has claimed that he was not present in the city on the day of the attack and the family has fabricated the whole story. Police have started the investigation and would question the two accomplices who were present at the time of the attack in further investigation.
