As the part of the massive mass movement Swachh Bharat Mission many schools of the city run cleanliness drive and organised awareness programmes in their premises. In this order the school students of St Mark’s School, Senha took an initiative to contribute in the mission by cleaning the campus and nearby area of the school. The students cleaned the campus, drainages and removed the weeds. They also took oath to give regular time to clean the area weekly. All the students were seen enthusiastic to contribute in effort of getting clean and green campus.

Notably, the Swachh Bharat Mission aims to achieve a completely clean India by Oct 2nd 2019 to mark the 150th birth anniversary of the father of nation. The principal and other teachers of the school encouraged students by taking an initiative to clean the ground with a broom themselves. The principal Sunny Dadel said, “Cleanliness was very close to Mahatma Gandhi’s heart. A clean India is the best tribute we can pay to Bapu when we would celebrate his 150th anniversary. let us walk our shoulder to shoulder in our quest to create a clean India.”
