A day before the constituency goes to poll, BJP Gurdaspur candidate Vinod Khanna walked around the key areas of his constituency and embarked on a door-to-door campaign.
Exuding confidence, Khanna appealed to voters to vote for development, to vote for Modi, and to vote for Khanna.The three-time MP spoke to voters of his plans for the constituency and sought their advice. He gave a patient hearing to their woes and promised to resolve them. Explaining to voters that he would get maximum assistance from the Modi Government at the centre, Khanna capitalised on the Modi wave to appeal for votes.
Khanna’s wife, Kavita too embarked on a door to door campaign from 7 am in the morning. She assured women voters that Khanna would take up women and youth related issues on priority after being elected MP.Vinod Khanna also spoke to party workers and and took stock of the ground situation for the polling day on Wednesday. He spoke to them about flawless booth management process and asked them to help any voter who would require assistance with finding their polling booth or names in the voter list. later, he also had a meeting with the polling booth agents.
